The National Institutes of Health, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, provides government-funded clinical and medical research in a variety of areas. Search “Reiki” for a list of current trials being conducted

The International Association of Reiki Professionals is the professional association of the global Reiki community, dedicated to providing a forum for support and professional, personal and spiritual growth. IARP provides advocacy on issues of importance to Reiki professionals and benefits to members, including Professional and General Liability Insurance. This is also a good place to find a Reiki practitioner in the U.S. or abroad.

The Reiki Alliance is an international community of Reiki Masters of the Usui System of Reiki Healing Usui Shiki Ryoho. They teach and practice the Usui System of Reiki by maintaining the time-honored form passed through the direct spiritual lineage of Usui, Hayashi, Takata, and Furumoto. This is a good place to find a practitioner of Reiki for humans in the U.S. or abroad.
